In recent days, Goa and Goans have been distracted by communal tensions (which I believe were deliberately stirred up), causing important issues like environmental destruction, hill cutting, large-scale land conversions under 39/A and 17/2, and land frauds to take a back seat. I urge Goans to refocus on Goa’s biggest crisis and put all our efforts into opposing the government’s harmful plans. They are pleased to see us divided, as it allows them to continue their harmful agenda in partnership with land sharks and large real estate companies, mostly from outside Goa.
