A year has passed since a fatal accident taken place on the Zuari bridge snuffing away four lives in water. Then the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had said it is a drunken driving accident. Now with regards to the horrific Banastarim accident the chief minister has said that it is a drunken driving accident which needs to be investigated and in the same breath has said we can’t check each and every vehicle for drunken driving. The chief of the traffic cell has said that the traffic cell would recommend installation of rumblers or speed breakers at the service road, the traffic police will step up vigil against drunken driving and deploying of personnel in civilian clothes near bar & restaurants to check drunken driving. When any incident takes place the powers that be wake up and assure hope of safety ahead. Some are put on job as days pass and the noise limps to normalcy. Goa is a paradise for those drinking liquor and there is no guarantee the drunken driving noise will not repeat again.
