Minister’s Sattari arrogance uncalled for

Many Goans across the state are protesting against the draconian TCP 39/A legislation and it's unfortunate, that TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane is using the Sattari political card, making statements that he can bring 40,000 people to Panaji; and the obvious message that he cares only for the interests of Sattari voters;  and he will use their backing to do as he wishes in the rest of Goa. The TCP minister seems to have arrogantly forgotten that many of his voters/families have jobs in constituencies outside Sattari and where he and his constituents  are connected to benefits significantly from rest of Goa. For instance will he able to provide jobs to all such constituents of his in Sattari itself ? Maybe it’s better Vishwajit is perhaps given charge of only Sattari to do as he wishes (with his constituents approval) and relieved of governance in rest of Goa.

Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane while speaking in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in Sattari on Saturday has said that if needed, he can bring 45,000 people from Sattari to Panaji in response to the agitation by Palem-Siridao villagers in front of the TCP office and that there is no need to back-track on development that benefits the people.
