Name potholed roads after civic authorities

This is with refernce to the editorial, "What's not in the name and an eerie silence over Mopa -The Goan Everyday December 13, 2022." Your editorial on naming of the the new airport in Goa was apt. Naming or renaming of any infrastructure in our country, like airports, flyovers or roads, etc., or even institutions has mostly been a tricky and delicate issue. There is bound to be some objection or the other, to a particular name. There will be some groups or individuals lobbying for a particular flyover or road or whatever, to be named after somebody of their choice. However, there is one option to avoid getting into such controversies and that is, to name that particular airport for instance, after the name of the location or region. By the way, coming down to ground level, looking at the state of roads in major cities like Mumbai & Goa, etc, it would perhaps be fitting to rename those pothole ridden roads after the civic authorities or whoever is responsible for those roads. That would ensure that the roads are maintained in good condition.
