Having said no to dynasty politics and lot of mudslinging on the Gandhi family by the ruling party at the Centre and other states they never do what they preach as we have seen that the BJP has a full family in active politics.
In southern states, the BJP has its presence only in Karnataka and putting all possible efforts to retain power but, will they succeed is a big question mark. It is quite evident that BJP is in no mood to shun BS Yediyurappa, and is indispensable to the party. But why isn’t he offered the chief minister post? If BJP retains power in Karnataka than it will be solely due to Yediyurappa and he will continue to call shots having said that it look like Congress has an edge over BJP due to anti -incumbency. But rivalry between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar may have an effect on its chances.
In Karnataka, The BJP should wean itself from dependence on one leader. It should promote young leaders who are capable to take the party forward and the party that speaks against dynasty politics should not be promoting dynasty politics as this will send wrong signals to the party cadre.
