There are a number of food stalls and stalls selling fruits ,clothes and other necessary items bear Goa medical College Bambolim. I have noticed that a few legal requirements and are followed. There is no notice board specifying the price of items kept for sale. Most people in times of emergency purchase the item required by paying extra amount of money. The relatives often carry fruits for their sick relatives and family members however there is no check on the quality of fruits sold just outside Goa's premier health facility. I would suggest that food and drugs administration keep regular check on the quality of food items sold. The quality of food sold in the hospital canteen has to be monitored. Also the price of food items has to be rationalized. For example a cup of tea is sold for Rs 13 which is difficult to pay due to lack of change. The most important aspect of waste disposal must be sorted out or it will lead to a health hazard. Every service provider must be accountable for keeping the space in a hygienic manner. The problem of parking also needs to be sorted out. There is a urgent need to tar the parking space and illuminate it. There is a need to allot space to taxi operators, and for patients' relatives. The space in front of the stalls could also be earmarked for parking purpose. The illegal stall operators should not be allowed as there can be no control over such operators.
