The saffron party has taken harping on non issues to another level altogether to divert attention from their failures and non performance. Consider two recent examples: the Sanghis are baying for the blood of an ex-CM of Karnataka for visiting a temple after eating meat. Which constitutional law or religious tenet forbids a person from visiting a shrine after consuming non-vegetarian dishes ? Similarly the BJP is raising a ruckus over the CM of Bihar entering the sanctum sanctorum of Vishnupad temple in Gaya with a minister of his cabinet who belongs to the minority community. In the same vein, a ruling party MLA from Hyderabad broadcast a video with purportedly derogatory references to the Prophet and Islam justifying his nefarious actions as 'protecting Hindu dharma' . Though he was booked for his actions, bail was granted in double quick time and the gentleman is out to foment more discord. It is very evident that meaningless frenzy is whipped up over non issues by the saffron brigade to divert attention from real concerns about price rise, hunger, poverty, unemployment, inflation, ethnic strife, etc.
