It is not for nothing that a dog is called a “man’s best friend”. It is said that the only, absolute and best friend that man has, in this selfish world, the only one that will not betray or deny him, is his dog.
Their loyalty knows no bounds. They are always there when most needed and will do anything within their prowess even to save a life. Dogs shower love on their owner which can have a positive impact on the health of the person. Some who are on the death bed would want to die with their pet dog along their bedside so that they have a peaceful death.
Keeping this in mind it would be in the fitness of things for hospitals to allow the terminally ill patients to have their pet dog alongside their bed if such a request is made.
This may be possible if the patient is being treated in a private room. Since children are very close to their pet dogs, it would also be desirable for a child to have the pet dog by their bedside in the hospital which could help in the quick recovery of the child.
