Vasco MLA should work hard to get his ticket

Apropos to the news report "Now, Almeida fires salvo at party" (The Goan Everyday November 28, 2021).

Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida should have thought twice before blindly copying Junior Parrikar. What are the "harsh measures" that he is threatening? Will he join one of the rival parties? Can they take on the might of BJP successfully?

CM Pramod Sawant has made it amply clear that distribution of tickets for Assembly Elections in 2022 would be solely on these three factors -- winnability, candidate's connect with the masses and the visibility of both Goa BJP and that of the candidate in that particular constituency.

This rules out any room for pre-poll bargaining since the central BJP think-tank would not compromise on the criteria for ticket qualification laid down by its incumbent Goa CM.

The advice to the ticket aspirant Carlos Almeida is, "Dude, work hard. Cry less. If your candidature meets minimum criteria for qualification, you will get a ticket. Or else better luck next time".
