Only God is protecting MMC market

Only God seemingly protects MMC market, lacking essential safety measures. It’s disheartening to witness yet another fire in the new market due to AC electrical issues. The flames spread to neighboring stores and pharmacies, emphasizing the dire need for safety measures. The new market’s narrow roads, coupled with vehicles obstructing emergency responses, make fire brigade operations challenging. If a fire starts inside, the interconnected shops pose a formidable challenge, creating panic during evacuations.

Blaming authorities isn’t a solution; shop owners must ensure ACs, appliances, and wiring are well-maintained. Equipping shops with fire extinguishers and training staff for emergencies is crucial. Despite obstacles and insufficient firefighting equipment, the fire department made commendable efforts. Margao’s unresolved issues persist, even under BJP rule. Inadequate safety persists in MMC new market, with hanging electricity wires posing hazards. Authorities appear indifferent, and the recurring issues remain unaddressed. Safety must always be a priority, and gratitude is due that the fire was contained, averting property loss and ensuring the well-being of those frequenting the bustling area.
