The dust raised by the just concluded Assembly election is slowly settling down and results will be out in a few weeks.
Despite being disunited, I feel the Opposition parties have put up a spirited fight against the BJP.
All the political parties are surely getting down doing their math and must be eyeing potential alliances and Independent candidates so that they can get to the magic figure.
The Congress is already on record that they are not averse to seeking support from TMC and AAP.
Sudin Dhavalikar has also made it clear that TMC will take a call on the post-poll alliance issue and has ruled out any tie-up with the BJP.
The saffron party too must be surely doing its calculations and approaching potential independent candidates who are likely to win apart from having secret talks with other parties.
The Opposition Congress should realize what happened last time around and not wait for the last minute to cobble up their numbers. They should get their act together and start making moves to form the government in the event of them becoming the single largest party.
