In the 21st century, we have seen many inventions and innovations to move the world at a fast pace, but we have not made much progress on the family front. The joint family concept is on the decline and nuclear families have taken center stage. This has led to erosion of family values and our elders have found themselves in old-age homes. This goes on to show that love and respect, which our elders had for us, are on the decline or do not exist at all. People have now become materialistic and our main aim is to amass wealth by hook or crook. Human values and morals have taken backstage as a result of which our parents are ill-treated and then sent to old-age homes to live a life of isolation.
