Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane has now reportedly withdrawn his statement calling Goa Foundation a "fraud" but has maintained that the individuals who are running the same NGO can continue to do whatever they are doing but as far as the state is concerned, his government will still approach the SC and do justice for people from Canacona to Sattari. In fact, he was selectively seen targeting the NGO Goa Foundation (the petitioner in tiger reserve case before the High Court) for not allowing his government to implement the destructive policies in the state and by calling this NGO as 'fraud' and 'pain' for the state of Goa.
I think that politicians should mind their own business because by now most Goans know who are the genuine Goan heroes and who are the actual frauds, pain and looters in Goa. Baseless allegations against Goa Foundation should not be made in future because today if Goa has been partly protected to some extent then it is due to the hard work of this particular organisation and a few others but not politicians in Goa.
