In the Divar Panchayat the issue of the statue has become hot topic. The people are confused about whose statue should be put up whether Jack Sequeira, Shivaji or Late CM Manohar Parrikar. I don't understand why Shivaji's statue is put throughout the state of Goa when he has not played role in Goa but in the neighborhood state of Maharashtra. The people of Maharashtra who settled down in Goa are making more noise. Jack Sequeira has played a major role to save Goa for Goans and he is in the heart of every single Goenkar. I think people of Divar Panchayat should not fight against each other just for the statue of the persons who have left this world for ages. Today this statue is not important for us and will not feed either you or your family. So please stay united as I know Divar is a beautiful and peaceful village with loving people. It's better not to go forward with any statue but tell the village panchayat office to give children park with all facilities, good roads, streets lights etc that is needed for the betterment of the village and villagers.
