The many rape cases occurring everyday exposes our mindset. When such incidents occur we see reactions and responses from the victim side, the accused and human rights activists. Perpetrators of such crimes are either rich and powerful or belong to lower strata of society. I am really sorry to say that the family and peers have to take take blame as they have failed to inculcate good moral values in the child which leads to law and order problem in our society. The rich are powerful and use their resources and contacts to escape from the charges by using loopholes in our system which is cause for worry.
The laws in our country are clear but we have failed to implement them properly. Unless the loopholes in our system are plugged and severe punishment such as hanging is imposed on the perpetrators of such heinous crimes, and also the investigation by police should be impartial even if their own staff is involved in such heinous crimes which is not happening, the situation will remain the same.
