It's sad that this year too a 7-year-pld child got trapped and mauled by the aggressive pitbull and finally succumbed to injuries. However, we had encountered similar type of aggressive dog atrocities last year too. I think it's impossible to supervise such type of aggressive dogs continuously. Evidently, the aggressive nature of the dog prompts it to instantly pounce and maul the victim, which at times could even prove fatal. These incidents of dog attacks should receive the priority they deserve, and stringent measures ought to be taken. Henceforth, such type of breeds like that of pitbull should be banned in Goa. Eventually, a balanced solution should be worked out which will ensure justice to the victim and the local populace.
