It is really sad and shocking to see that the days before panchayat elections are getting worse as the same ward candidate are against each other just for the power. A complaint was filed against Alisha Fernandes, candidate from ward no 1 of Chandor Cavorim by the rival candidate Angelia Mendes E Antao (Nancy ) for painting the zebra crossing lines for school children. I myself have highlighted the issue several times in panchayat office, before MLA and through newspapers but neither the painting of speed breakers, zebra crossing lines nor sign boards problems were resolved. I salute this youth Alisha -- at least she has thought about the school students' safety. The panchayat's office members finished their 5-year term by doing nothing. Hope the village panchayat, MLA, PWD will solve all the pending issues related to zebra crossing lines, painting of speed breakers, sign boards in Chandor Cavorim village as soon as possible.
