Politicians' statements against Goans are shameful

It is sad to see our politicians targeting Goans workingabroad. The recent statement of a BJP politician calling Goans working abroadas frogs was uncalled for. In the past, a Congress politician made news forsaying Goans worked abroad as toilet cleaners. He was given a befitting replyby tiatrists through their songs. The egoistic politician refused to apologisefor his crude remark. Well, these politicians must realise that Goans left forforeign shores because the former failed to create enough job opportunities forthem in their motherland. They are not abroad on a holiday, but working hard toearn a decent living for their families back home. Politicians must remember, they are elected by the people to serve then and such statements made by theirloose tongues are shameful, to say the least. They certainly owe an apology totheir Goan brethren who earn foreign exchange to boost the State'seconomy.
