Politics behind Deora's selfish move to leave party

Milind Deora has left the Congress party and joined the Shiv Sena (Shinde) faction. Deora said that, the Congress party is currently moving on the wrong path, so, he joined the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) only to serve the people and develop the nation. Internal politics, however, is different. Actually, it has been decided that Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) will field a candidate from South Mumbai constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, it has become impossible for Congress to contest elections here. Milind Deora was in trouble. He has shown the wisdom of joining Shiv Sena (Shinde group) in time to preserve his political existence. Due to this, Deora hopes that he will become a member of Rajya Sabha. Deora's defection shows how leaders who change parties are selfish and use the pretext of shifting allegiance for public interest.
