Power Minister should stop giving shocks to citizens

The Power Minister seems determined to increase the electricity tariff, especially for power used at night. Most Goans use electricity during the night when it is dark, so why does the government want to push people back to the days of kerosene lamps and candles?

What exactly is the government giving to the people of Goa? Every time, the only thing we see is an increase in costs, making life harder for the common person. Even streetlights are running at the expense of the public. There is loot going on across the State in the name of development and underground cabling, which itself has become a big scam.

The BJP government is now pushing for smart meters, which will only add more stress for people who are already struggling to earn a living. Instead of bringing light, they are pushing citizens further into darkness with new rules and policies. The BJP makes big promises and takes credit for everything, even though it is taxpayers who pay for it. If the government cannot reduce bills, then at the very least, it should not increase them.
