Dengue cases are on the rise at various places in Goa like Vasco, Ponda and other areas. We have to take care of ourselves. Dengue fever is a disease which is spread to humans through bite of Aedes mosquito. It can cause high fever, bodyache, headache,skin rash and pain around eyes. Reduce mosquitoes by maintaining cleanliness in and around your living space to prevent mosquitoes breeding, uncovered water storage, trash cans, plastic covers, flowers pots,water logging, close all the doors and windows early in the evening and open late in the morning, use mosquito repellent and please wear long sleeves and pants. Use mosquito net on the bed especially when there are kids in your home. Feel free to visit doctor in your area, health centre and do the test. Requesting health authorities to take action as soon as possible to avoid the spead of dengue fever throughout the state.
