It's a sad plight though that unhygienic conditions are prevailing as far as roadside eateries are concerned. Due to its inexpensive cost and easy availability, several prefer to take the bait, without understanding the consequences they might have to suffer. At times, the kitchens are shabbily maintained, cooking oil is used multiple times, the utensils are not washed properly etc. However, this doesn't mean that every roadside eatery is harmful or poorly maintained. Subsequently, just to safeguard the interest of the general public, it would be better if the Foods And Drugs Administration (FDA) conducts routine checks across Goa. Currently, the recent check which took place on roadside stalls/eateries at Bambolim brought to light several discrepancies that existed.
Unfortunately, the local populace along with the tourists are very much dependent on these roadside eateries/stalls for some quick snacks and pampering their taste buds. Eventually, severe steps implemented by Foods And Drugs Administration (FDA) will definitely be effective in maintaining proper hygienic conditions of these eateries. Henceforth, the general public can enjoy their cup of tea and snacks, within a low budget.
