In Ponda, hot-mixing of roads has been undertaken at different locations. However, it seems installation of speed-breakers has not received any significance.
For instance, the road adjacent to Kurtarkar Commercial Arcade Complex at Kaziwada was hot-mixed during recent days. However, provision of speed-breakers on either side of this road has remained almost neglected.
In the absence of speed-breakers, vehicles are likely to proceed at a fast speed thereby raising the possibility of mishaps sooner or later. This would certainly result in adverse consequences including severe injuries and at times even death of innocent travellers.
Even pedestrians would be confronted with risk while proceeding along this strategic location. Precious human lives need to be assured safety on a permanent basis.
Hence it is absolutely necessary that the much needed speed-breakers are built at above sensitive location on priority basis so that public at large are assured necessary relief at the earliest.
It is equally important that necessary signboards regarding existence of speed-breakers are also installed so that travellers get acquainted with the same.
