Sex scandal a disgrace to Goans

The recent sex scandal that rocked the State and the subsequent resignation of the minister is a disgrace to Goa and all Goans. 

The resignation came after criticism by Opposition parties, causing a huge embarrassment to the government and the ruling BJP. Politics and sex is a deadly mix and has an old relationship in India as well.  

The people of this State had a lot of expectations from this government. The sex scandal has further deteriorated the faith of people in BJP and it will be extremely difficult for them to revive and win elections. The legislators whose ideals are supposed to be followed by the entire masses are themselves learning about morality after getting elected. 

There is no dearth of rule in our legal systems, it's a lack of enforcement of rules which leaves the malaise uncured. People should be cautious in electing persons not on just party lines only but on qualities allied with ethics, straightforward, qualified, for social cause, development, mature and dignified.

Our beautiful Goa is being defaced with political hoardings and banners. One political party trying to supersede the other by advertising and thereby wooing the Goan electorate.Political parties have been spending huge sums of money on advertising but in the run up to the polls they are all out defacing our beautiful state by pasting and hanging their banners on public property. I believe that the panchayats and administrative departments have not given any permission…
