Provide support for unmarried elderly persons

This is to kindly bring to your attention that many spinsters and bachelors in Goa have crossed the productive earning age and have no one to rely on for support. Many of these unmarried individuals, especially Goans, have some form of shelter and work in agriculture or as casual labourers during the farming season. However, due to old age, many are unable to take care of themselves. I request the Goa government to provide financial assistance to such unmarried individuals who have no family or whose families do not offer them financial support.

Conviction rate needs to match with high detection rate

Goa Police reported a 96.6% detection rate in heinous crimes and around 88% in overall cases in 2024, registering 2,096 cases under the Indian Penal Code. Despite this, only 250 convictions were secured by October. For cybercrime, police achieved a 35% detection rate, solving 18 of 56 cases and making 45 arrests.
