Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi whilst addressing his first press conference after his disqualification from the Lok Sabha the other day has said that he would continue to defend democracy in the country even if he is disqualified from Parliament for life or jailed and has claimed that the reason why such a action against him has been taken in such a hurry is because Prime Minister Narendra Modi was damn scared of his next speech in Parliament on the Adani issue.
Why is Modi refusing to hold a single press conference since the last 9 years in front of media persons to answer some simple questions over a variety of issues unlike Rahul Gandhi but using the services of leaders like Ravi Shankar Prasad, Anurag Thakur, Smrita Irani, Sambit Patra etc to still defend himself during most political tsunamis in India? Well, the BJP leaders (including PM Modi) are also well-known for frequently insulting most Indian communities (especially the minorities) so very often in different parts of our country. Now, why defamation cases have never been filed against such leaders and why they have never been convicted nor disqualified from Parliament so far?
