Whatever the reason, if the government wants it can speed up the wheels of justice. Betalbatim gang rape, Benaulim gang rape and now recent suspicious death of a girl found on Calangute beach -- the victims’ families are hoping for justice. The accused must not go scot-free. CCTV cameras should be installed at all major locations in Goa to check the movement of criminals at night. Hope the Supreme Court and the High Court take cognizance of the crimes against women in Goa and direct the government to fast-track these cases without any further delay. The CM should create a special cell to probe all these cases and fast track them to deliver timely justice to the victims’ families.
