These days, a large number of illegal flags, banners and hoardings of political parties and leaders are seen on private and public properties and also on the roadside. This is a waste of money and also detrimental to the environment, not forgetting the distraction caused to motorists. Most of these banners and flags are put up without seeking any nod from the authorities concerned. The Election Commission of India and the authorities concerned should take note and stop this menace of putting up banners and flags. The parties concerned should be pulled up for defacing public properties.
