The maintenance section of the electricity department has got a major responsibility in rectifying the defects over electrical poles and other accessories at different locations in the State.
However this task is often found to be neglected. Hence the existing errors remain unattended for long.
For instance, creepers over a electricity pole in the vicinity of ‘Khadpabandh Gardens’ at Khadpabandh in Ponda have remained uncleared for quite some time.
Such a negligent attitude on the part of the linesmen deputed at this location levies a negative image of this important department in the minds of the people.
Even the maintenance staff is unable to climb up such poles covered with creepers in case any work is to be attended at the concerned locations.
Let us hope that the higher officials at the electricity department in Ponda take a note of this and arrange prompt clearance of creepers without any further delay.
