The spotlight is once again on beef in view of the cow slaughter ban in neighbouring Karnataka & the approaching Christmas season. The citizens of Goa are now starved of their favourite dish. The Chief minister has assured that he will find a solution to the beef crisis in the state. This brings one back to the central issue of slaughter itself. Why ban cow slaughter in the first place?
If like the present moment, Goa is looking towards Kerala & Delhi for their beef intake then what are we trying to prove? Beef will remain beef, whether it is from the neighbouring states or your own state. The whole issue needs to be reviewed from a different perspective.
