A bunch of over-ambitious new leaders (including some known habitual defectors) who have hurriedly joined the Congress in the recent months are seen opening their own lavish posh offices and behaving as if they have already been told to contest the upcoming assembly elections in the State on Congress tickets by their top Central party leaders in Delhi.
Of course, the leaders of the Congress party in the State are still claiming that the Central leaders have not assured of giving party tickets to any of these newly recruited leaders so far and that it will be decided only at a later stage in Goa.
Unfortunately, the former Benaulim/Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco who too has joined the Congress party seems to be finding the going getting tough already due to the presence of so many other contenders for the Congress ticket in his Benaulim constituency and due to which was even heard issuing his own mild threats through the media recently.
Well, top leaders of the Congress party in the State should not take the antics of Pacheco very seriously because leaders like him have been historically joining/heading a number of small-time political parties and working for their own personal self-interest by supporting any ruling party government (including of BJP) and backstabbing their own voters after most elections in Goa. Hope better sense prevails.
