Babush Monserrate has lied on the Ribandar Health Centre issue saying that it will happen soon. The file has not yet been approved and is for the last many months in the Chief Minister’s office.
When our delegation met Babush on October 9 last year at his Miramar office, he solemnly promised us that the Health Care facilities would be set up by ‘hook or crook’ at the Old Ribandar Hospital and would be gradually expanded into a full fledged Hospital. During our meeting with Babush, sitting next to him was former Panaji Mayor Yatin Parekh who was a witness to all that the Panaji MLA had assured us.
Though some of our members may have had reservations on the truthfulness of the MLA on this issue, I prevailed on them that we should have patience and trust the MLA. That was my mistake.
And we should have awakened in January this year when the Panaji MLA did not utter a word when our crucial Health Center issue was raised in the Goa Legislative Assembly by Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai.
Like on every other promise Babush may have cheated and fooled us on the Health Centre issue too, but we will not rest till we ensure that the health facilities at the Old Ribandar Hospital become a reality for the benefit of the residents of Ribandar, Old Goa, Chimbel, Merces and those living in the island of Divar.
Shame on you Babush Monserrate for having once again doing what you always excel in, at lying to the voters and attempting to hoodwink them. But the people have now wisened up and will no longer be fooled by your antics.
