Very sad to mention that Panaji city has already turned into a mess and slowly this city is seen decaying. The footpaths and the roads are in most deplorable condition and pedestrians are unable to use the footpaths for their daily walk.
Obstruction of trees on these footpath is an another problem. Even the fallen trees are lying unattended for days together and the authorities seem to be sleeping on this. We see dogs and buffaloes everywhere all over the pedestrian walk. The roads are full of potholes and the CCP workers are seen on the job all the time with zero results. Can we call this city a Smart City?
Just yesterday I saw some contract workers from a company carrying out repair works, having no government official supervising them. It seems they will be carrying out the work up to Dona Paula.
Calling Panaji a Smart City is really foolish as the city is slowly sinking. There are no gutters for water to go to the river and after a light rain we see water accumulating at several places.
