Road digging under the smart city mission has made life difficult for commuters and local business owners. The dust can be seen all along at the nook and corner of the roads causing hardship to residents, visitors and ground floor shop owners across the city. Dust entering the human body causes allergies in the nose, sinus, eyes, bronchus and skin. The vehicle owners are parking haphazardly with the dug roads eating up space leading to traffic chaos and no traffic police have been deployed to manage the chaos. This dust pollution becomes a severe problem not only to the pedestrians and motorists, but also to the people working in or visiting the commercial premises along these damaged roads. The smart city works undertaken simultaneously in residential and commercial areas within the limits of Panaji amount to neglect of public health and safety.
