Solve grassroots issues to win public trust

New political parties must actively address house-to-house problems to demonstrate accountability and earn public trust. While governments manage formal grievance mechanisms, political parties act as the closest link between citizens and the state, making local issue resolution a core democratic responsibility.

For parties with new ideologies, grievance redressal is essential to understand grassroots needs and build credible governance models. Addressing everyday concerns”such as housing, ration cards, gas and water connections, power supply, certificates, health, education, unemployment, and tenancy matters”helps parties connect policies with lived realities.

In a democracy, grievance redressal reflects accountability, especially for marginalized citizens who often rely on local representatives to navigate complex bureaucracies. Unresolved issues like missing tenancy files, pending RTIs, or unlawful record changes create frustration and erode faith in institutions.

Election promises centered on local problem-solving must be honored, or voters feel betrayed. Continuous public service”not just during elections”is key to winning and retaining voter confidence.
