In my opinion, the new Borim bridge should be aligned with the old Portuguese bailey bridge now disassembled. This will prevent any controversies or legal issues. There is the need however to conduct a detailed ground reality feasibility study to assess the possibility of such an alignment. The new bridge route could be connected with the Borim Circle 2 which is after Borim Circle 1 near the existing Borim bridge. This will allow vehicles mostly trucks to bypass Ponda City. Also, the road from Borim Circle 1 to Borim Circle 2 has some death traps for two-wheeler motorists which need to be repaired immediately.
