Strict action needed against fake news, deepfakes

Oh wow, we were truly touched by the heartfelt concern expressed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting (and ironically, IT), warning us that "fake news is a threat to democracy" and we need "strict action" against deepfakes. The BJP IT cell must be quaking in it's boots right now ; after all, they’ve been running the world’s largest fake news factory for the last @ 12 years with clockwork precision ; doctored videos, communal WhatsApp forwards, cropped clips, fake screenshots, and full-on AI deepfakes during elections. But don’t worry, Sir, the moment you announce strict action, we are sure Amit Malviya and his army of 50,000+ paid trolls will immediately shut down their 24/7 misinformation assembly line and surrender peacefully. In fact, they are probably deleting their Photoshop folders as we speak. Thank you, respected minister ji, for finally taking action against… well… your own party’s most loyal soldiers.

No 'Saathi' for govt on Sanchar app
