Subsidy gone, only price hike is on of LPG cylinders

The price hike on domestic LPG cylinders is bound to compound misery of households grappling with runaway inflation and rising prices of various commodities and daily use items.  It's a jolt to the common man.  From 2014, when the BJP government assumed office till today, domestic LPG prices have increased by 14 per cent.  The government had scrapped LPG subsidies since May 2020.  Every month government is attacking middle class by increasing prices of some or other things.  And people are enjoying 'Acche Din' by remembering this every month.  Consumers are already facing the brunt of soaring inflation, unemployment and now a hike in cooking gas cylinders is going to cause severe crunch for consumers.  And due to high prices people are forced to go back to using cow dung and firewood. Cylinder prices have long been a hotly-debated political issue in India, with opposition parties including the ruling BJP before it came to power in 2014, routinely taking to the streets to protest against hikes.
