I acknowledge that an earlier corrupt rule by Congress earlier led to rise of BJP (which in my view is now more corrupt vs its predecessor) Saying that, it’s also well known that it was only the Congress party that made some positive legislation to tackle corruption via public awareness ie the RTI Act 2005. Question that all BJP supporters should be asking the BJP leadership; what significant legislations has the BJP high command bought it which empowers the public to address corruption? In fact what we have seen is the significant dilution of the RTI process by BJP to hide information going to the public. May I suggest a master stroke policy change to the INDIA alliance particularly the Congress party. They should announce a strong anti-corruption policy which includes things like 1) influencing the judges with perks post retirement 2) Significant increase in Govt functioning/election funding/expenses transparency to public except in very few cases of extreme national interest like military , intelligence against enemy countries etc 3) Independence of police and govt agencies like CBI, ED, etc from government control. So I personally believe that a strong anti-corruption policy can be a master stroke and I request the INDIA alliance to consider the same.
