Health Minister Vishwajit Rane should be congratulated for paying a surprise visit at the North District Hospital on Monday and finding a lack of discipline amongst most staff during his sudden visit (doctors not wearing coats, lower staff chatting while patients waiting outside) and later issuing show-cause notices for some who were found/caught in disciplinary lapses. Well, Vishwajit should now try to conduct such similar type of exercise in other government departments/offices as well, especially TCP and Forest which come under him. Because most employees from these departments too are practically seen casually coming late for duty after 10 or 11 am, chatting with their family members/friends or playing games on their mobile phones the whole day, roaming around most of the time doing absolutely nothing but personal family shopping, bunking from work for days by giving some lame excuses without putting their regular leaves and some even coming drunk (especially in the afternoon) and sleeping while on duty on a regular basis. I therefore personally feel that Vishwajit should conduct a surprise visit in the offices of these two government departments as well.
