As per the government's new rules insurance companies are asking for ID proof when the person goes to renewal their insurance policy like motor insurance, home insurance and health insurance. The insurance company should inform their valuable customers to bring their ID cards while coming to do renewal of their motor vehicles and other insurance policies in their office by sending SMS and by sending the renewal notice through post. Many people are not aware of the changes and have to go back home to bring the documents when it is asked for at the insurance company counter, a waste of time and petrol for the people who come from far flung villages to renew the motor insurance in cities. So I request people to take their documents which are mandatory for policy renewal: Pan card / Form 60 (2) Aadhar card / driving licence / voters ID.
