It was heart-warming to read (The Goan Everyday, Jan 2) about the multi-talented Fulrani Kinlekar of Pernem who was born with congenital disabilities. Although she has no lower limbs of the hand and feet and nor fingers and toes, yet at school she learned to learn and type and even carries out embroidery work. She has done a computer course and a diploma in financial auditing. Recently she has learnt sewing just by watching YouTube! Although she resides in a remote village with less transport connectivity and her not so-well off parents, her zest for life is remarkable. When able-bodied and even educated people tend to give up easily if things do not go their way, this lady stands as a beacon of hope. One needs to imbibe from her the positive attitude of, “never think that something is impossible or give up on your dreams.” Hope the government and samaritans assist her in some ways.
