The laity and Diocese will miss Fr Conceicao

Priest of Goa Archdiocese, Fr Conceicao D'Silva, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest early morning on February 8, 2021. He was a charismatic priest, powerful and passionate preacher of the word of God. Fr Conceicao kindled hope and strengthened faith and belief of those who were hungry and thirsty for the word of God. He did provide a substitute to those who could not go to Divine Retreat Centre for renewal and reformation. He was closely connected with the Konkani movement and served DKA as its secretary. He was politically oriented, inclined and close to those in the seat of power.T his relationship furthered his social causes and humanitarian activities. Both the priest and the Church had once tendered an unconditional apology for rubbing the rulers on the wrong side. He did not shy away from acknowledging his error of judgement. The Diocese will certainly miss this enthusiastic, convincing preacher, and zealous crusader. The faithful, who adored and followed him in search of their spiritual quest will be miserably orphaned as they mourn his untimely demise. Fr Conceicao will be dearly missed but remembered by all those whom he spiritually touched.
