Drug menace is a global problem and has spread its tentacles far and wide. In our country it is said Punjab is the most affected State.
This problem needs to be tackled with earnestness and gusto. The drug mafia should be demolished, nexus broken and their sources shut.
Along with it, government should launch an effective awareness campaign which should shake the conscience of the politicians and the police, resulting in concrete steps to curb the deep rooted menace.
Punjab has been a problem State not only for drugs, but also with militancy. Of late, things have worsened and Punjab has become synonymous with guns, gore and drugs.
Merciless killings of innocent people, and the youth embracing drugs and guns have become the norm. The AAP-led government needs to walk the talk and take swift and immediate action to arrest the growing unrest among the youth.
It is the need of the hour and save the people from the scars of militancy.
