I am writing to express concern about the alarming levels of air pollution in our cities, particularly emissions from Kadamba buses, private buses, trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
These vehicles release thick black smoke, spewing toxic fumes and particulate matter into the air we breathe. This pollution is hazardous to public health, causing respiratory issues and other serious problems. Two-wheeler riders are especially vulnerable, as they are directly exposed to these toxic emissions. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is already poor, and this is further worsening the situation.
I request the authorities to: Conduct regular checks on vehicle emissions, especially Kadamba buses and other commercial vehicles; Enforce strict pollution control norms; Promote cleaner and more sustainable transportation options.
Let us work together to make our cities healthier and safer places to live.
