Traffic system going off rails in State

The traffic situation is witnessing a big challenge in Goa. Traffic congestion in the rush hours is the regular scenario in Goa.  With haphazard parking (double or triple parking) without any proper traffic regulations, the prime roads in the major towns of Goa are getting completely filled with the vehicles in the daytime with hardly any place left for parking and especially at Panaji Market, 18th June Road, DB Borkar road.  Tourism in the state is also sinking day-by-day which led to the further draining of the state treasury.  With shortage of traffic police, decline in number of wardens, it's imperative to mitigate the city's growing challenges.  Bad roads, poor connectivity, waterlogging on roads, poor drainage systems and road designs, incomplete smart city project works, the list goes on and on. The blame is invariably heaped on the government departments.

Our institutions compromised like in the case of the IIT Kharagpur student campus death where the 2nd post-mortem has brought out that he was shot and stabbed which the first post-mortem was silent about.
