After authorities were exposed at in the Melauli land scam, it is alleged that different government agencies were used to siphon off tribal funds in Priol.
Several construction projects that are taken up in the area are said to be illegal. This has been done with an eye on elections and tribal funds were used.
Moreover, the places where construction work was done are not areas of tribal people nor was the work useful for tribal people. The works taken up at Gaonkarwada-Khandola have not withstood the fury of the rain and have collapsed.
Similar was the case while constructing the Banastarim market complex where tribal funds were used. Tribal leaders say the market has not benefitted the tribals.
The question that comes to mind is who authorized these works and that too with tribal funds. It is time a proper investigation is carried out and the culprits brought to book.
