Goans will have yet another train for their travel to Mumbai. The Vande Bharat, one of the fastest train, will be flagged off on June 3 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via a video link.
This train, the fastest on the Konkan railway route, will cover the distance from Madgaon to CST Mumbai in around 8 hours.
The train with 8 bogies is fully equipped with latest gadgets and technology and is having capacity to carry 550 to 600 passengers with biotech toilets and other facilities. The train also has rotating seats.
There are many trains leaving from Margao different destinations like like Konkan Kanya, Mandovi Express, Mangala Express, Mangalore Mumbai Eexpress, Jan Shatabdi, Netravati Express etc but Vande Bharat will be the one with shortest time to cover the distance.
Goans will be looking forward to this new train.
