The railway line from Varunapuri and Mangor Hill road connects Vasco city and then from the railway bridge opposite Tanya hotel.
The railway under bridge is in a damaged condition and seriously in need of repairs. The concrete structure below the railway tracks leaks during rains and is almost on the verge of collapse.
The week-long Saptah will commence in a few days and many devotees from across the border come via this route. Some also park their vehicles on the open ground opposite Tanya hotel adjacent to the railway bridge.
The railway authorities along with PWD and local MLAs should take up this issue on top priority before any untoward incident happens.
A stitch in time saves nine so goes the adage and timely action will save lives.
