The Goan is to be congratulated for its Voices page that is being brought out every Sunday. Allowing a full page for silent voices of loyal readers to be loud is a noble gesture, brushing aside economic considerations.
The space should never be curtailed on Sunday. The readers are constantly plastered with nauseating pearls of wisdom of decaying politicians.
The Voices page is a platform for loyal readers to express their opinions against issues and politicians should feel their pulse and act accordingly.
Cuttings are regularly sent to concerned departments and ministries for information and action. My oral survey of 100 educated readers confirms views of readers receive more attention. Long articles are trashed after only noting headlines, depending upon popularity of writers.
